Call for PR, Marketing and Communications Speakers

HOUSTON (APRIL 24, 2013) – The Public Relations Society of America Houston Chapter is looking for subject matter experts in the public relations, marketing, social media, and communications fields who are interested in speaking at the 2013 PR Day conference. The planning committee is seeking proposals from educators, public relations and communications professionals, futurists, management consultants, journalists, bloggers, and editors. We are also interested in speakers in related fields, including economists, social scientists, as well as specialists in interactive communications and design, research and measurement.

 

PR Day, Houston’s largest one-day professional development event attracting top public relations and communication professionals, will take place Wednesday, October 2, at the Bayou City Event Center. This year’s conference theme will be “Return on Influence #ROI.” The event offers a variety of topical morning and afternoon breakout sessions with engaging speakers, a prominent keynote speaker presentation during a catered lunch, plus face time with the presenters. 

 

Proposals are welcome from professionals with expertise in topics such as: social media, content management strategy, pitching stories, global exposure in messaging and strategy, measurement, developing media strategies, crisis communications, internal and external corporate communications, employee engagement, blogging, webcasting, and other leading edge trends in PR.  For a full list of topics and more information on how to prepare a proposal, please see the RFP guidelines available on the PR Day website. Presentation proposal packages must be submitted to Jessica Anderson no later than Thursday, May 9, for consideration.
