Current examples of unethical practices in social media will be examined. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A segment.

Oct. 5: Making the ‘Write’ Connection: How a Coordinated Effort Can Help Build Powerful Personal, Professional Brands

In a world full of tablets, Smartphones, computers, email, LinkedIn and Facebook, a handwritten note makes a lasting, profitable impression. At PRSA Houston’s monthly luncheon, Oct. 5, Marjorie Maxfield, national etiquette expert, owner of Tanglewood Stationery & Gifts and author of The Write Stuff, will discuss the role of the handwritten note in today’s business world and in your personal life.

Maxfield is known across the country for her expertise in wedding etiquette and personal stationery. She is an author, publisher, guest speaker and successful Texas businesswoman. Her clients include former presidents, athletes and celebrities. Along with her work in etiquette and stationery, Maxfield also has led a successful career in public relations. In 1980, she created the first financial radio and television talk show in the country. Today, the financial talk show format is the used by ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN and many others.

Come hear how letter writing can make an impact in the way you do business and support the Public Relations Foundation of Houston (PRFH). PRSA Houston will generously donate all luncheon proceeds to the PRFH in support of its mission to enhance the quality of education by providing scholarships for students studying communications disciplines at local universities.

You can make an individual contribution to support the PRFH by making a donation at the luncheon with your check or credit card. Visit the PRFH webpage for more information.
