Senior PR/Communications Specialist

Health Care Job Description

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field;

seven to fifteen (7-15) years experience in a major market news organization or a senior PR/media relations role; five (5) years of experience in health care is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and superior organizational skills are imperative. You must be a strong team player with advanced skills in MS Office and have some functional ability in a desktop publishing program like Quark XPress. Project Management experience is a plus. Preference given to candidates with substantial experience in targeting and developing reporter relationships in news bureaus based in Houston, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas. Bilingual skills are considered a plus.
