Job Description

 Director of Communications and Media Relations

Individual will be primarily responsible for developing and executing all internal and external communications for the Harris County Hospital District, ensuring that the Harris County Hospital District has a strong, positive public image.

 


Required Experience:

Master’s degree preferred in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field of study.

Minimum of 7 years in the field of corporate communications.

Minimum of 5 years of mid to senior level experience in the field of corporate communications, including direct experience working with a variety of media such as print, television broadcasting, and internet. The candidate will have experience managing corporate/organizational public relations and communications in crisis situations. Strong writing and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate experience in leading, motivating and mentoring a team required.
