About You

Reporting to the director of communications, and wanting to step into those shoes in a year, you are a high-energy, trend-setting PR Manager with a panache and persistence to get the job done.   You recognize that PR as a function is beyond the press release and generating media hits.  You set your own standards and your only competition is yourself. While you have an intrepid spirit you realize that teamwork is everything and believe implicitly in the JFK quote, “the rising tide raises all ships.”  You have the courage of your convictions, the temerity to think outside the box and the will to set new standards.

 If you are undaunted by what is needed to excel  here is the simple stuff that outlines your responsibilities and requirements:

       Specific Job Responsibilities:

  •     Act as key client contact and build team
  •     Set standards of excellence
  •     Develop new business initiatives
  •     Interface with media, analysts and other key influencers
  •     Write a variety of PR and marketing materials
  •     Proactively pitch the media
  •     Manage speaking and awards programs for clients
  •     Help develop strategic PR and Marketing plans
  •     Assist with new business research
  •     Maintain client clip and monthly reports


  

Required Experience:

 



        Requirements:
 
  •     Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  •     2-4 years in Marketing/PR (experience in health preferred but not essential)
  •     Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  •     Strong media relations skills
