Description

The Salvation Army Greater Houston Area Command is looking for a talented and energetic media/communications intern to assist in various media, public relations, graphic design, web management and other multimedia projects. This is a nonpaid internship so only serious candidates interested in truly gaining valuable experience for their resumes need apply. Depending on the individual's performance the position could lead to a paid temporary or permanent job placement.

Job Requirements

Experience

The ideal candidate should be a good writer; be able to use Adobe InDesign, Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator with minimal supervision; have a strong interest in web management; as well as in the field pf media/public relations. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

Skills

Strong writing ability
Graphics experience using all Adobe software including Flash, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Web management experience or interest
HTML knowledge preferred
Excellent work ethic
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish

Computer Skills

HTML knowledge preferred, Microsoft Office, Adobe software, etc.
