Mayor Speaks to PRSA in July

Caption 1: Houston Mayor Bill White told the 150 PR pros who attended the July PRSA luncheon that he intends to fix Houston's problems before conducting a major public relations campaign. The mayor cited the May article in Fortune Magazine, which mentioned Houston as among the few cities addressing the pension issue for city employees, as an example of how the White administration is using public relations to change Houston's image nationally and achieve its electoral objectives on bond issues.

Caption 2: Mayor Bill White chats with PRSA President Dan Keeney, APR, prior to speaking to PRSA Houston's July luncheon. He also answered a smattering of questions at the Hilton Americas Hotel event that attracted a few members of the media in addition to public relations practitioners.
