Dan Keeney, APR has led numerous high-profile communications initiatives, from corporate restructurings to product introductions and from international crisis communications response to grassroots engagement efforts. His work in crisis communications, issues management and public affairs has been honored numerous times; he is a four-time winner of the coveted PRSA Silver Anvil. A frequent contributor to Public Relations Tactics, Keeney also manages his firm''s Web site content, which is considered a leading resource for public relations trends and crisis communications strategies.



Daniel Carpenter supervises 27 civil servants, directs 50 contractor employees and manages a nearly six million dollar budget from four funding sources. Major events during his tenure have included: 




  • Media relations for the assembly and staffing of the International Space Station;

  • NASA participation in the World Space Congress 2002 (6,000 attendees);

  • Crisis communications response for the Space Shuttle Columbia accident; and

  • NASA participation in the 2004 NFL Super Bowl in Houston.
