Barbara Janusz is Director of Business Development for Harding Marketing - a worldwide marketing firm with a new branch office in Houston. Prior to joining Harding, Barbara was a US wide marketing manager for HP for two years and a Global Executive Sales Representative for Compaq for 19 years, winning top awards each year for performance excellence. Barbara holds a Master''s Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Western University, and a BS Degree from the University of Alabama. As well as being a member of the AMA board, Barbara has enjoyed volunteering with the Greater Houston Partnership, in her community as President of the Grogan''s Point Residents association, and a member of the PTA Conroe ISD schools. She has won awards such as Woman of Distinction, Patron Influencing Education, and Service of Excellence awards.

Christine Welsh is Marketing Manager for Weatherford International - Completion & Production Systems division, a publicly-held oilfield services company based in Houston.   Over her 11-year career with Weatherford, Christine has worked in various other corporate capacities, including other marketing and investor relations positions.  Christine holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.  As a member of the American Marketing Association, Christine commenced the Energy special interest group in 2002 and subsequently served as the VP of Membership for the 2003-04 term.  She is currently the President of the Houston Chapter of the organization.


Business Marketing Association

Greg Salerno holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri; he is a Certified Business Communicator.  He is the past president of BMA-Houston and is assuming a role on the national Board of BMA.  Greg has a diverse background in business-to-business marketing and communications (copywriter, creative director, strategist, executive), as well as 25 years of experience in the energy industry.

As Director of Practice Growth for Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C. (PKF Texas), Karen Love has played a tremendous role in doubling the firm’s growth in the past five years.  Karen’s innovative marketing strategies and in-depth practice growth ideas have enabled the professionals at PKF Texas to infiltrate virtually every organization in Houston. This expanding vision utilized such tools as PKF University, grass-roots PR and marketing and a well-thought-out plan to infiltrate university and business circles alike. When she started working with PKF Texas, the firm was the 17th largest and now the firm ranks as the 7th largest public accounting firm in Houston. After fulfilling the goals she set out to achieve when joining the firm, Karen became a director/owner and moved into an equity position within PKF Texas.

Susan Schmaeling , APR, is the principal of Susan Schmaeling Public Relations & Marketing, a consultancy which serves a client portfolio of non-profit and cultural organizations.  Before starting her own firm in 1997, Susan served for over eight years as the Public Relations and Marketing Director for the Contemporary Arts Museum.   Susan has a BA in Communications from Douglass College at Rutgers University.  She currently serves on the Board of the Houston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and was accredited by the organization in 1993.  Susan has received numerous professional awards including the highest honors from the American Association of Museums and the Texas Association of Museums, as well as a Silver Award from the Baton Rouge Advertising Association.


Society for Marketing Professional Services

With close to 10 years of experience in the building industry, Amy Moen specializes in marketing for architectural and engineering firms. In 2002, she joined Haynes Whaley Associates as Marketing Manager. Amy brings a unique perspective to her work with A/E firms, utilizing the teaching, problem-solving, and design skills gained from both her Bachelor and Master´s degrees and career in fine art printmaking.
