Dan Keeney, APR, is president of DPK Public Relations, a Texas-based public relations firm specializing in crisis communications planning, crisis communications response and crisis recovery as well as media relations, marketing communications and spokesperson training. He has led numerous high-profile communications initiatives, from corporate restructurings to product introductions and from international crisis communications response to grassroots engagement efforts. He works with organizations in consumer goods, energy, health-care, professional services and technology. Notably, he was the 2004 president of PRSA Houston.This journalism background is particularly valuable to executives who are preparing for media interviews. Prior to establishing DPK Public Relations, Dan was the general manager of a large Houston public relations firm. He previously held leadership positions with PR firms on the West Coast, where he was honored for his work on ballot measure campaigns and crisis communications response. He got his start in public relations with Ketchum Public Relations in Pittsburgh.
