Don't miss this "BE The Professional" workshop event featuring three seasoned PR industry influencers who will share the importance of business etiquette in the workplace.
Our speakers include: Suzanne Buck from the University of Houston, who will discuss e-mail and voicemail etiquette, nonverbal communication & business greetings; Sally Ramsay of Pierpont Communications, who will present on the importance of table manners and dressing for success; and Marilyn Emanuel of the Brookwoods Group, who will highlight the crucial role that professionalism plays during the job searching and interviewing process as well as leaving a job. There will be a short Q&A session after each presentation and refreshments will be provided by Jason's Deli. All levels of PR practitioners are welcome to attend.

Currently known to many as a strategic talent acquisition specialist and to others as a strategic marketing professional, or even still others as a career coach and mentor. Over the last four years, Marilyn has been employed with Brookwoods Group as a recruiting manager and responsible for finding the right professionals for various marketing positions primarily within the oil/gas and energy industries.
Marilyn has previously spent over four decades in various sectors including academia, Fortune 100 corporations and non-profit organizations working in various B2C and B2B marketing management roles including, product manager, project lead and market manager, director of marketing, sales development, national accounts and membership director (one of her most memorable positions while working at the Houston Zoo).
She is highly sought after as a business image consultant and experienced seminar leader for various image-related and job-finding topics. Marilyn has been interviewed three times by FoxNews Houston as a subject matter expert for job search topics. Those of you who know her personally can testify that she has a passion for fitness and wellness reinforced by her National Association of Sports Medicine certification as a personal trainer, women's fitness and weight loss specialists. In her spare time, she also teaches Zumba fitness.
