PRESENTED BY IABC/Houston
Do you consider yourself a creative person? Do you want to be? Do you know what it takes to bring out the creator in you? How can you protect your corporate soul … and still get your job done?
Mark Schumann, a 13-time Gold Quill winner, will share 10 keys for bringing creativity to the corporate world with IABC/Houston on Thursday, October 28.
The introductory session, over lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will highlight Schumann’s insight into creative thinking and introduce the 10 keys that will be explored, in detail, during a workshop starting shortly after lunch. The workshop will conclude at 4 p.m. You will walk away with practical tips to energize your work with creative thought and enhance the contribution you make to your organization.
Join IABC/Houston at lunch, and in the afternoon, to explore The 10 Keys to Creativity:
1. Know your creative self.
2. Focus on a real need; solve a real problem.
3. Manage to specific actions and reactions of your audience.
4. Create to fit the audience’s limited time and attention.
5. Seek reactions and reality checks.
6. Bake the cake before preparing the icing.
7. Know the tools you can use.
8. Nurture your curiosity.
9. Follow your instincts.
10 Protect your creative soul.
At lunch, we’ll review the keys to creativity … and, in the afternoon workshop that follows, we’ll work through each “key” and offer practical tips and steps to follow. You will leave either session with a “new lease” on your creative self and proven ways to make it happen!
