Bias and Conscious Leadership Diversity Workshop

PRSA Houston invites you to “Bias and Conscious Leadership,” a special two-hour workshop on Thursday, August 11, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., featuring Dr. Carmen Carter of Diversity on Demand, talent management and human resource ministry, and the former host of the InsideDiversity Internet radio broadcast.

Once again, there is a critical conversation transpiring on the world stage. Training interventions focusing on the pervading characteristics and cultural competence continue to fall short.

Biases live inside our brains waiting to be noticed - first as thoughts and then as actions.  Sometimes, we do not even realize that we are biased about something.

Conscious leadership is essential for both personal and organizational growth.  Biases live inside our brains waiting to be noticed - first as thoughts and then as actions.  Understanding ourselves and the assumptions we make are important steps to working together more effectively in a multicultural society. The leader’s challenge and opportunity lies in the intentional creation of a more inclusive culture where each individual can thrive and contribute to their full potential.

Join us on a journey of self-discovery and explore how to enhance your leadership brand by:
· Recognizing the voice of bias
· Reframing perceptions
· Making more compassionate and wise decisions
· Leading a life that is purposeful and values-driven
· Fostering a more beloved community

Continental breakfast and refreshments will be provided. Free parking is available in the museum's surface lot.

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS
