PRSA Houston New Professionals Group invites you to an in-depth discussion of corporate public relations on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with Graham Painter, senior vice president, Corporate Communications, Sterling Bank and Sterling Bancshares, Inc. The meeting will take place at the Kirby office at 2575 Kirby.
After his talk, Painter will join the New Pros Group at 10 Downing Street for a social and networking, so please come prepared to continue the fun and learning! The address is 2549 Kirby.
Painter will share his thirty years of experience in corporate public relations, with a focus on helping New Professionals make it BIG in corporate PR by building and maintaining their career. Painter will share the Do''s, the Don''ts and the Maybe''s of corporate PR, so bring your questions and come prepared to learn!
Painter has worked in corporate public relations for thirty years. At Sterling Bank, he is responsible for public relations, community relations, advertising and employee communications. Prior to joining Sterling, Painter served as vice president of public affair for CenterPoint Energy. Painter is a graduate of the University of Houston and is a past president of Houston PRSA.

The mission of the PRSA Houston New Professionals Group is to support PRSA Houston chapter goals while providing new professionals with a valuable outlet to expand their knowledge of public relations through networking and professional development opportunities.
New Pros Objectives include encouraging participation in PRSA Houston and connecting New Pros throughout Houston; scheduling regular professional development and social events for New Pros; integrating members into the National New Pros Affinity Group; and encouraging New Pros to become accredited in public relations.
New Pros programs and activities target PR professionals with up to five years of experience in public relations, as well as graduating students and professionals new to the industry.
