National Strategist Maps Out “Blueprints for Success"

HOUSTON - Strategy remains a mysterious area of business, especially for public relations practitioners, and the elevation to strategist or a strategic advisor is considered to be the highest level of professional practice. James E. Lukaszewski, ABC, APR, Fellow PRSA, is a strategist’s strategist, and during PR Day 2004:Blueprints for Success in Public Relations, he will present many of his powerful methodologies for becoming a communications strategist. PR Day will be held on Sept. 22, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana.

This all-day event, sponsored by the Houston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, will focus on implementing effective communications strategy in business, and will offer a powerhouse lineup of speakers, a media roundtable, and several opportunities to network with individuals in the public relations, media and communication fields. Full-day, half-day and luncheon registrations are
available online at http://www.prsahouston.org/activities/pr_day.asp.

At PR Day, Lukaszewski will discuss the seven distinct disciplines that develop the managementoriented mindset, behaviors, and attitudes that attract management’s attention and get communication staff members invited into the decision-making process earlier.

“The ability to incorporate communications advice into the planning, execution, follow-up, and evaluation of major business activities and decision making is extremely important in today’s business world,” explains Dan P. Keeney, APR, chapter president of PRSA Houston. “PR professionals will come away from Mr. Lukaszewski’s program with some proven steps to getting the boss to listen and to insuring a seat at the decision-making table.”

As a means of kicking off PR Day, Lukaszewski will welcome senior-level practitioners during an exclusive breakfast reception to be held from 7:30 am - 8:30 am on Sept. 22. He is scheduled to deliver his program in the afternoon segment of the conference, following lunch.

Mr. Lukaszewski’s presentation is co-sponsored by PRSA Houston and Swank A/V. With over 65 years experience, serving all types of meetings, Swank Audio Visuals is the nation's finest source of audio visual rental equipment and professional technical services for your successful meeting.
